Error codeLOW TEMPERATURE
ApplianceBlast Chiller
Quick answer
The LOW TEMPERATURE alarm appears during the holding cycle when cabinet air temperature drops under the lower limit.
Model compatibility: U-Line reuses codes across series and model years, so LOW TEMPERATURE may mean something different on another appliance or generation. Confirm this against your model’s documentation and record your full model number before acting.
Plain language
What this code means
During the holding cycle, air temperature fell below the lower limit (parameter ALL).
On a U-Line blast chiller, LOW TEMPERATURE is an alarm raised during the holding cycle. It means the air temperature in the cabinet fell below the lower limit, which is set by parameter ALL.
Models
The alarm is listed for the touch screen controller on the UCBF432, UCBF532, UCBF632, UCBF559 and UCBF659.
How the holding screen helps
While the unit is holding, the screen shows the upper limit that triggers a high temperature alarm, the current temperature, the low limit that triggers the low temperature alarm, the set air temperature for holding and the time elapsed. The holding range is from 14°F (-10°C) to 50°F (10°C). The PARAMETERS screen lets you view the control settings, but they cannot be changed there.
The ALARM tab lists the alarms that occurred during the cycle. If LOW TEMPERATURE keeps returning, call service.
Related alarms
HIGH TEMPERATURE: the opposite case, air temperature above the higher limit during holding.
HIGH PRESSURE: another alarm in the same list, for head pressure that is too high.
